A Thriving Church at the Heart of its Community

FairTrade at All Saints
From Traidcraft- Christmas Greetings from Around the World:

"On behalf of all the producers for Gospel House, Sri Lanka, I would like to thank all the friends, supporters and the staff of Traidcraft for the partnership we have had with you for nearly 27 years.
"When traders spoke about the ‘Big Financial Crisis’ and put up their shutters, Traidcraft made a big difference to the continuing success of Gospel House. I am happy to say for the year 2010, Traidcraft have been our largest buyer with increase of orders more than last year. We were able to give work through the year to over 170 people producing the toys and crafts.

"All of us at GHH say a big thank you for all your help and support for the work of GHH in Sri Lanka so that we can give good work to producers and they can continue to live in dignity in their communities. “Now we are looking forward to Christmas under the palm trees! Wish you all a blessed Christmas time together." Shiran Karunaratne, Gospel House, Sri Lanka

We are really blessed to have your support all our efforts for having a dignified life amidst these challenging times. We are happy to have you in our fair trade family and wish that you, too, will have the peace and happiness you so deserve.“Together, in our own ways, even if we are miles apart, we can make this a beautiful, just world! Happy Holidays from all of us.”Loreta Rafisura, SHAPII (who make cards and wooden products), the Philippines
.....and thanks to everyone who supported our Traidcraft fairtrade Christmas shop this year, especially to the wonderful team of volunteers who ensured that the shop was able to stay open! Our shop sales exceeded £3,000 this year (30% up on last year) which means we will have more profits we can share with our link church community in Malakisi, Kenya.
