Installation Service 20th July
A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make Miranda's installation service on Tuesday such a success. There was a lot of activity behind the scenes as well as more visibly, so to all those who cleaned the church, arranged flowers, put out chairs, rang the bells, prepared food, welcomed guests, read, sang, played the organ or washed up thank you for making it such a joyous and memorable evening.

Tea and Prayer Get-together
Please join us for prayer, tea and talk at our next get-together at 2.15 pm on Tuesday 3 August Everyone welcome.  If you’d like a lift just give me a ring or speak to anyone on the pastoral team.
Sue Suter

For those of you who know Jim & Thora Stuart, their son and his wife have now moved to Germany and I'm sure Jim and Thora would appreciate a visit.  They're in Tasker House in Wellingborough and if you'd like to get in touch with me I can pass on Jim's phone number.  Sue Suter

Superheroes Holiday Club 23rd – 27th August
We had a spectacular briefing session the other evening and are all looking forward to holiday club week.  Please keep all those involved in your prayers.
Also, could you save some bits and pieces for our craft activities?  We're looking for newspapers; cardboard boxes; plastic bottle tops; egg boxes; lollipop sticks; straws; foil; kitchen roll inners; cotton reels etc.  In fact anything for junk modelling - but it must be clean please!  Please start saving and bring along to church on Sundays 15
th and 22nd August.  Many thanks.  Sue Suter

All Bears @ All Saints - can you help please?
All Bears @ All Saints is a church support group for pre-schoolers and their carers and is open to all.  We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month and would really appreciate some help serving refreshments in the hall for about an hour from 2.45 - 3.45 pm.  It would free up the pastoral team to talk more to the carers and their children.  If you think you might be able to come along, even occasionally, please speak to Sue, Valerie or Kathy.

All Bears @ the Giant Boot Sale
We’re planning to have a stall alongside Traidcraft in the Parish Church Hall on Saturday 11
th September selling children’s clothes, toys, books, equipment etc.  Do you (or anyone you know?) have any items that you don’t need any longer that you could donate please?  Also, could anyone lend us one of those collapsible hanging rails. If you can help please bring items along to the Parish Church Hall on Saturday 14th August from 10 – 11 a.m. or Friday 27th August from 9 – 11 a.m.  And thank you!

Specs for Developing Countries
Don't forget that your old specs and sunglasses can be recycled as The Lions send them to those in need in the developing countries.  There's a box for your specs and sunglasses at the back of the church - please no cases and no broken specs.  Thank you!

Choir Notice

The choir is now officially on holiday
until September 7th.  However, any choir member is welcome to join me in the chancel for services in August when not relaxing on a beach somewhere.   Please don't forget the weddings though: August 7th at 2pm, August 21st at 3pm and August 28th at 1pm.  All couples have requested the support of the choir.
There are two weddings on September 4th also!
Marion Welch

MANY THANKS for all the Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers that have been donated to the 1st Earls Barton Brownies.  We have to put our order in very soon and the girls have decided they would like a Street Cheer session (a cross between cheerleading and street dance!), plus some new long skipping ropes, bean bags, balls and other general sports equipment.  If the Street Cheer session is a success, I'm sure you will see us (although possibly NOT the leaders!) performing at next year's Carnival! Thank you again.Catherine Johnson (Unit Leader - 1st Earls Barton Brownies)

Lay Pastoral Ministers
Please don't forget that Gill, Sue, Carol and Valerie are available if required for help, support or encouragement particularly during the interregnum.  It would be helpful to be told if our church members are ill, in hospital or in difficulties.  Gill Metcalfe, Sue Suter, Carol Coleman, Valerie Brown, Kathy Hale.
